The Essay Contest  is entering it's fourth year.  It is open to public, private or  home schooled high school students in grades 9-12 in the Seacoast area.  The purpose of the contest is to engage the youth in American civics and encourage future leaders.

 

The Committee will:

- Define theme

- Set deadline for entry

- Email press release to high schools

- Deliver three sets of each essay to judges for review

- Contact the three winners by mail

- Thank other participants by mail

- Invite first place winner to read essay at Spring Luncheon (if first place winner is unavailable, ask second place winner to read his/her essay).

- Print and present certificates

- Notify Treasurer of the names of winners 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

- If winner(s) are unable to attend, mail certificates with check

- Photo op at Luncheon with winners and presenter.
